I learned to draw and paint at a very young age -- even before I learned to read. And ever since then, I've been compelled to create. I was living in NYC and working in advertising at the time I decided to pursue Ragpie, a concept jewelry project I wanted to share with others. Inspired by the heaping masses of waste glittering the city sidewalks and my own personal collection of used grocery bags and magazines begging for an afterlife, I sought to transform would-be waste into functional art.

...Thus, Ragpie.

My jewelry is meant to make a statement and to garner questions like "What material is that?" and "Where did you get that?" because since you're wearing it, jewelry ought to be expressive and help convey the wearer's own uniqueness.

Eventually I have plans to build out my product-line, adding pieces of varied aesthetics and mixed media to meet broader needs and wants. I love making things for people and look forward to seeing Ragpie evolve.

I have to say that I love the little shop Im about to feature...its very fun and inventive and the best part is that it plays a roll in saveing our earth by recycling the things that normallly lines the sidewalks

YAY ME YAY ME

MY BIRTDAY IS TOMORROW...AND IM TURNING

 

WOW, I just cant believe that its already time for my birthday...I havent even got used to being 24, not that I truley feel this young

Matter of fact I feel like I should be like 28-30 years old...

My intrests are just nothing like most people my age... Not to mention that it has been almost 3years since Ive really had much contact with people my age...being that im a stay at home mom and all my old friends not having kids yet, means that Ive grown apart from them and have moved on...

My bestfriend right now would have to be my MOM, and of course my hubby!!

Most people my age would be like what you like to hang out with your MOM!! OMG  how boring!

But really its not I enjoy spending time with my mom!

Although there are somethings that I would love to go do, that she just doesnt think she needs or would be the kind of thing a 40 something women should be doing..

Like going to get spray tans, nails done, cute haircuts,trying to pick out sexier clothes like mini skirts and short shorts !!

My mom is a little old school when it comes to these kind of things.

But anyways.....Im turning 25 and im truley excited maybe i will get something really really awesome for my birthday.....feel free to hope for me!!lol

Recycled Toothbrush Bracelet

Ok, So as part of my new remodel...Im going to start posting new crafts each week!!
So here goes my first!

This craft is really cool for a couple of reasons..

1.well its super unique i never heard of wearing your toothbrush!

2. They are actually pretty cute and I see endless ways to make it cuter!

3. Well its inexpensive

Ok, here is your supply list:

an old toothbrush(or a sparkley new one)

Tweezers or pliers

Oven  gloves

tongs

pot

large pot

And here is what you do with all those fancey supplies:

*First you need to remove all the bristles from the brush using your tweezers or pliers

*Then you will need to boil your water, and keep it boiling

*Then put your tooth brush in the boiling water for 5 minutes

*Now you can remove the toothbrush and now that its soft you can bend it into shape

 (use your gloves its hot)

(if its not soft enough for you to bend put it back in the boiling water for a few more min)

*Now to use the mug, you will put your toothbrush down in the bottom of the mug to help hold its shape

*Finally you can poor cold water in the mug to cool the toothbrush and pull it out

**VIOLA**

Ok, let me start this blog off with a little explaination!

My blog has gotten rather boring as I find that I dont really have anything interesting to write about, and my followers have kinda stoped paying attention to my blog. Meaning I never get any comments or very many people entering my Giveaways...

So I put alot of thought into this and have decide to remodel, redo, rework, reeverything my blog and make it , into something really fun and helpful to many a etsy seller.

And by that I mean that im going to go on weekly(maybe more) trips to etsy and search out the undiscovered etsy seller and blog about them and their awesome little shops..I  dont have a real clear plan of how all this is going to work, but I promise to put alot of effort into making my blog very sucessful

So What does one have to do to be featured in my blog...

Well nothing much besides have a really awesome product and have NO sales!! and very few views..

And Im thinking about doing a once a week feature a seller that has had sales and views but just very few...

I guess you will just have to wait and see how i work all this out.
