Easter 2010

Today, I went out in search of some cute places around town to get some Easter pictures of Destiny and let me tell you our city workers need to do a better job of taking care of parks,court houses..etc!

On a better note, I did find a couple of great places I would have never expected to look so good in pictures, Then agian my babys beauty could light up any background...lol

So Here are a few of the pictures I got today!

SCENTSY EGG TUTORIAL

I went to a Scentsy Party a couple of weeks ago and purchased a Scentsy bar in Lilacs and Violets...Lilacs are my fav flower ever!!!

Anyway Yesterday I thought " man I wish I could put my scentsy in my car" So since then I have been trying to think of a way I could put my scentsy in my car without it spilling in my floors/seats and without haveing to go buy the scentsy circles...

And Easter inspired me so here is what I came up with:

*SCENTSY EGG*

Ok, so it might be a bit corny, But I think its cute and its is so going in my car!

It shouldnt beable to leak or bust open, and it is bright and fun and just in time for easter, I could see this being used in all kinds of easter, baby showers, wedding showers, etc.. I think you could also use toy vending machine capsuls like these

Either way would be super cute!

Well here is my tutorial for the Scentsy Eggs:

First you will need some supplies:

scissors

hot glue

easter egg or capsule

ribbon

tack

Scentsy

First you will need to poke a little holes using the tack, in the top of the egg so the scent can get out,

while yoru at it poke a larger hole in the center of the top for the ribbon

Next  you will cut your ribbon to desired length

( i made mine pretty long because I want it to slip over my rearview mirror)

Slide the ribbon thru the hole you punched in the center

Tie a knot in the end of the ribbon so that it wont slip out of your eggs hole.

Cut a piece of your Scentsy bar off and place it inside your egg.

Now you just need to seal it closed, I did this by hot glueing a ribbon around the seam so that it overlaped both edges so It could not come open.

Finally I just decorated it witha bow and a small crystal... You can get as fun and creative as you want to with it.

Im sure your next question is how is it going to get warm enough to melt and smell, Well my plan is for the sun to do that for me.. Because I dont know about you but it gets pretty hot in my car during the summer. Im not sure how this is going to work in the fall/winter months but Im sure my heater vent blowing on it will keep it toasty enought to produce scent...

I found thsi awesome tutorial to spice up any garden, desk or kitchen window,  I think it is beyond cute and I will so be working on this within the next couple of days, So Im gonna go ahead and give you the tutorial and some pictures and as soon as I get mine all done I will post some pictures of my creations!

after 5 1/2 yrs Im ENGAGED!!

Wow,

I can't believe Im officially ENGAGED!!! YAY

Im no longer just his girlfriend... Im his fiance and future WIFE.

I have waited along time for this.... and Im so excited I cant contain myself!!

Isnt it GORGOUS???

I absolutely love it...

We have set the date for

SEPTEMBER 2012

Havent officially picked a day yet, Im thinking around the 14th.

So now all I have to do is figure out what kind of wedding I want, I was never the kind of girl who dreamed of the day she would get married... and Im not the center of attetion type, Im also not a very affectionate person to anyone but my daughter and my Fiance....Something about hugging other people, even my parents/sibling just feels very awkward and uncomfortable.....as well as public affection... Im not the one your gonna see in the store or parking lot giving kisses to my future hubby.... to me that is just priviate.... and for the most part he feels the same..

So Im just not positive on all the details yet, but I only have 3 reasons for not wanting the big traditional wedding..

1.) I dont want to have to ask my dad to walk me down the isle...Awkward!!

2.) I dont want to have to kiss Johnny infront of everyone....Embarassing!!

3.) I do not want anyone crying or getting emotional or hugging me....Unconfortable!
So a vacation/wedding in Las Vegas at a cute little chapel sounds pretty good to me, But then Johnnys family and most of mine wouldnt want or be able to attend, so that is probably out of reach.

Reasons why I do want a regular wedding:

1.) Picking out the dress

2.) planning and having a party worth dressing up for

3.) Getting Gorgous

and most importantly

 Seeing Johnny in  a suit or at least all dressed up..

( A suit may be to much to wish for...lol)

But whatever kind of wedding I choose, I know I want it to be Pink and Brown,

I want a Pink dress for sure, and I would like it to be outside. I will probably have to break the wedding down into 3 parts:
 the actual ceromony
dinner/reception
and a after party

Because most of my family are pretty religous (church of christ) and Johnnys family is your typical african american family, In other words our familys have 2 totally different ways of celebrating and I want everyone to be happy.
The Ceromony will be all me!
The dinner/reception can be for everyone and the After party can be more for his family and those of mine that arent comfortable with the dancing and music.

So how soon should I start planning??

O, and we plan to have out second child next year too, So some how I have to get this all worked out...

My Personal Blog

Hey everyone,
 I just wanted to let you all know that I just started my Personal blog....

It is going to be alot more about me and my family, I will still throw in some fun tutorials, talk about my diet and of course my newest interst Destinys hair, and fun hairstyles to try.

As well as alot more fun stuff, like lots of fun pics of Destiny that most of you dont get to see,and of me and my man Johnny...Basicly its going to be more about US, than my biz type stuff and I will be removing some of my personal stuff from this blog...

I think im going to find that I will nigect this blog a little now that I have my personal blog... so If you want to see more post than you better follow me over on my other blog..lol

Besides I dont want to be over there all by my self!



Im such an IDIOT!!!!

Well, to start I have to explain that it has been raining so much here in oklahoma that I feel like im in "Forks", its even flooded in some areas!

Well this afternoon, Destiny was begging to go outside, since we finally have some sunshine!!
So I thought I would back across my driveway so she could ride here tricycle and not get in the road, and like an IDIOT I wasnt thinking and just drove right out into my yard and my car got stuck!!!  I cant believe Im such and IDIOT!!

Well I cant tell you about this without Pictures so here you go:

I know what your thinking (well besides Im an IDIOT) its not that bad....Well, I decided to stop before I made it much much worse....I so have to wait for the hubby to get home and handle this!! lol
